Benin
A majority of Benin's population live on its small southern coastline. It used to be called Dahomey. Many Beninese in the south of the country have names indicating the day of the week on which they were born. This custom was brought there by Akan people from Ghana. Sadly the literacy rate is among the lowest in the world: in 2006 it was estimated to be only 28.7%.
