Ecuador
Official language of Ecuador is Spanish but there are another 13 indigenous languages officially recognised. Capital city is Quito, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the 1970s for having the best preserved and least altered historic center in Latin America. It has the most biodiversity per square kilometer of any nation. The protection of the nation's biodiversity is an explicit national priority. Part of the rich nature are the Galápagos islands with many endemits.
