Svalbard
Svalbard is a Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. It is aproximately half way between Norway and the North Pole. Approximately 60% of the archipelago is covered with glaciers. Seven national parks and twenty-three nature reserves cover two-thirds of the archipelago. There are fifteen to twenty types of marine mammals, including whales, dolphins, seals, walruses, and polar bears.
